Capitalizing on our core competence accumulated and shaping up since the establishment of our company, we have been engaged in various consulting services primarily for the tower structural design for wireless communications with our clients such as Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, Ministry of Defense of Japan. Our engineering ability has been highly appreciated with the fact that all the towers which we were involved have survived without a major damage through East Japan Mega-earthquake in 2011. As for overseas market, we have been assigned by KSGM (KDDI and Sumitomo Corporation Joint Venture for Myanmar nationwide mobile communication service) as an in-house consultant for deployment and maintenance of more than five thousand tower facilities including guyed masts, building roof top towers, and we have gained a high reputation through our professional services especially for our problem solving skills and a sound designing approach.
We have developed IMB method as an innovative, simple and safe construction method for reinforcing angle steel structures against buckling without requiring any drilling and welding work on the base metal, under the joint R&D with Nihon University College of Industrial Technology. Through the repeated experimentations, a remarkable reinforcement effect on a weak axis of equilateral angle steels has been verified. The buckling strength for the design has been defined based on the result of compression tests, and the accreditation certificate has been granted accordingly under registration No. CBL SS002-12 in June, 2018. In addition, four patents have already been granted with respect to this technology and one additional patent application has been filed.
